The fresco art of the Renaissance served as the inspiration for this weave design project. The designs incorporate golden and silver zari with silk and linen threads to create a range of casual womenswear skirts and dresses that embody ‘soft utility’ and ‘subtle futurism’, in line with WGSN trends. A set of advanced color and weave designs achieved with different drafting and lifting plans are used in the project to create stripes and checks in pink and blue hues derived from the inspiration.
